ウィリアムズ症候群であり精神病的特徴を伴う大うつ病性障害が併存する患者はこれまで文献では報告されていない。本論文は、ウィリアムズ症候群患者の精神病的徴候に関する論文をレビューするとともに、これまで報告されたことがない、精神病的徴候を伴う大うつ病性障害を併存するウィリアムズ症候群と診断された3人の患者の臨床経歴と治療管理方針を紹介する。ウィリアムズ症候群と併存する内科的疾患は安全で適切な薬物治療に関しては注目されている。ウィリアムズ症候群患者の精神病的徴候を伴う大うつ病性障害の併存を評価することの重要性が強調される。
